What happened to Flophouse?
I tore it down in 2003. It's no secret that the site's only frequently updated section was Idiot Box. There are only so many silly pictures and bad movies one person can process, and cartoons take forever for me to make. Plus I wasn't getting out enough, so I didn't have anything to write about in the Observatory.

It's completely gone?
Idiot Box is on its own website now, and that's what I'm focusing my energy on. The BMC still has reunions once in a while, but I think we're all kind of jaded. Our last movie we watched was Miner's Massacre which we didn't make it through. Alcohol is partially to blame, since it makes our short attention spans even shorter and we're legally of age to purchase it now. Even when we do watch movies, we don't take notes or write reviews.

When will Flophouse be back?
It won't.

Not at all?
Flophouse was my brainchild for a long time, and it was the first domain I ever used. Abandoning it would be like abandoning your first house. If someone paid me for it, I'd probably sell it, but I'm not going to just let it go up for grabs. The last scheme was to make Flophouse into a social networking site. This was before I knew what Friendster was. My idea was "Like Yahoo Groups, only better!" After joining Friendster and seeing how lame it was, I was planning on making something much better. But then Orkut came along, and you know, I can't compete with Google.

But where will I go?
There are plenty of sites Flophouse was trying to be like.
